As Resettlement Specialist, was responsible Review ADB, GoI, and state-level current policies, laws, Government Orders and other guidelines relating involuntary resettlement and indigenous peoples issues that may arise from the proposed project and examine any resettlement or indigenous peoples development programs that are in operation in the project area and how they are being monitored; discuss with the Executive Agency (EA) its corporate mandate and ascertain how it could ensure that it could adequately address resettlement and indigenous peoples issues pertaining to project and its subproject; formulate appropriate involuntary resettlement planning instruments – involuntary resettlement framework (RF) and resettlement plans (RPs); formulate appropriate planning instruments - indigenous people’s development framework (IPDF) and indigenous peoples development plans (IPDP).

As resettlement specialist, responsible for monitoring and reporting on the implementation of the Resettlement Plan in accordance with the ADB’s policy on Involuntary Resettlement; monitoring the status of the contractor’s compliance with HIV/AIDS provision in the civil works contracts; designing PPMS and undertake project performance monitoring and evaluation of the project in accordance with Bank’s Project Performance Management System (PPMS) handbook.

As ADB staff consultant/social safeguard specialist, responsible to support capacity building initiatives for India Infrastructure Finance Company Limited (IIFCL) by assisting IIFCL in building-up its in-house capacity in ensuring that projects financed by it, using funds from ADB; undertake due diligence of proposed and sub-projects based on required documentation; undertake site visits to procure documentation and discuss compliance requirements with project sponsors; develop a strategy to build capacity within IIFCL in understanding all aspects of the environment and social safeguards frameworks.

As social development specialist, responsible for study of impacts on various kind of properties like land, structures belong to private, government and community ownerships within proposed alignment/ROW by conducting detailed social survey; stakeholders consultation including focused group discussion; preparation of social impact assessment report based on preliminary social assessment; preparation of broad entitlement framework based on applicable GVMC, state government and national laws and policies related to land acquisition and resettlement; valuation of assets based on inventory of properties through social survey and calculation of compensation and preparation detailed Resettlement Action Plan including R&R budget based on detailed social survey and land data provided by the clients
